Our Team

Dr. Swati Mehta, PhD.

Dr. Swati Mehta, PhD, is a distinguished Scientist at Parkwood Institute Research, Lawson Research Institute, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Western University. She is also a registered Psychotherapist with a wealth of experience in mentoring students in a multidisciplinary setting. Dr. Mehta has sat on several hiring teams in both academic and clinical settings, and has received over 1 million dollars in research funding to date. With over 70 peer-reviewed articles to her name, she is a leading expert in her field. Dr. Mehta has been recognized for her outstanding contributions with numerous awards, including the Lawson Impact Leadership Award in 2016, the Royal Society of Canada Alice Wilson Award in 2017, and the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation Excellence Award in 2017.
